A Yagnya

A Yagnya is a collaborative theatre maker and Japanese translator. Her work, Between 5 Cows and the Deep Blue Sea..., was read as part of Esplanade’s Raga 2020. She developed the Zoom play, Hi, Can You Hear Me?, under the mentorship of Haresh Sharma as part of The Necessary Stage’s Playwrights’ Cove 2020.
Most recently, Yagnya was also the devising playwright and co-director for subTITLED 1.0 which was presented at The Substation under Bridging the Gap Collective. She has also co-written for GroundZ_0 for Huayi 2020 (Prism of Truth), interpreted for ITI’s Noh theatre module, and acted as part of The Arts House’s Textures 2020 (Goddesses of Words: Angry Indian Women).
Yagnya wants to create socially conscious works that engage and challenge her audience into breaking out of echo chambers.
