Fahim Murshed

Singapore

At the age of 8, Fahim Murshed experienced his very first round of applause as he stood on stage after a production. That sense of achievement from an appreciative audience is a feeling he has been chasing since. His career in acting and storytelling is rooted in improvisation and comedy.

Fahim began telling stories at A Caravan of Stories, The Young Storytellers Showcase for StoryFest 2018 and hasn’t stopped since. His performances include A Night of Terrifying Tales (dir. Kamini Ramachandran) for TEXTURES 2019, Storytelling Speed Dating for Goodman B-Sides 2018 and Paint Little India, where he performed outdoors in tandem with fellow Young Storyteller Charlotte. He told the story of Sang Nila Utama at the Esplanade waterfront for Red Dot August 2019’s Stories to Celebrate. Recently, he performed for the Irish Embassy's Spooktacular Storytelling online Halloween event. Fahim is a graduate from LASALLE's Diploma in Performance programme.
