Kamil Haque is the founder and Artistic Director of Haque Centre of Acting & Creativity (HCAC). After 8 years working and coaching in Los Angeles, Kamil returned to his native Singapore in 2013 to establish HCAC, Singapore’s first professional acting studio for everyone and Asia’s first centre to teach the pre-eminent Lee Strasberg’s method of acting.
As an award-winning actor and storyteller, Kamil has first-hand experience of the demanding industry standards of Hollywood and he possesses the knowledge and skills needed to succeed internationally.
To date, Kamil has coached well over 3,000 students, many of whom have appeared in major Hollywood films, stage productions, television shows and national commercials around the world. He has also directed and acted in several award-winning and critically-acclaimed productions in the USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Kamil’s corporate client list also includes training leaders and employees in MNCs and statutory boards.
Additionally, as the founder and artistic director of Method Productions (MP), the production arm of HCAC, Kamil has also overseen the staging and production of monologue competitions, improv comedy showcases, intimate and immersive theatre productions, personal story and poetry showcases and more.
Most recently, he leads The Haque Collective (THC), the alumni theatre company of HCAC. THC produces and presents original, provocative, culturally diverse work for the stage and screen that responds to the richness, diversity and complexity of Singapore.
