If you are interested in creating a more inclusive classroom, performance space, or home, then join us for an hour to discover how to create sensory stories. Conceptualised by Joanna Grace, sensory stories can break down barriers to learning and understanding for children with different educational needs.

In this lecture, Joanna shares how you can use sensory stories to support an engagement with narrative for differently abled children. Drawing on years of experience working with children in mainstream and special settings, she will also suggest ways sensory stories can be used therapeutically to support people preparing for new experiences, exploring different sensations, going to hospital, and as an aid to sleep and nighttime positioning.

A note on sensory stories
Sensory stories hold particular benefits for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, autism and other forms of special educational needs.
