Stories can change people’s minds and make a difference. Stories help you learn and connect with others. We’re so attuned to telling stories that we tend to think it’s a gift – a talent you either have, or don’t. When really, storytelling is a skill you can learn and practise.

If you’re struggling to communicate your ideas at work, have a tendency to ramble on with friends or in interviews, this workshop is a safe space to start telling better stories. If you’re an aspiring performer, this workshop will help you to develop the craft of storytelling.

Through step-by-step processes and hands-on exercises, learn to craft simple stories using familiar folktales and gain fresh insights and skills on how to confidently engage an audience.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Discover how to craft a story for telling
  • Learn how to rehearse the telling of the chosen story
  • Explore Kamishibai or traditional Japanese visual storyboards
  • Practise using voice and body effectively as a communicator

At the end of the workshop, participants will:
