Artur Akhmetzyanov is the winner of the 2018 Bangkok International Comedy Competition and Singapore’s only Russian comedian. Blazing a trail on the Singapore comedy circuit, Artur has made a name for himself as an incredible storytelling comic with powerfully funny punchlines.
He has been a part of the Magners International Comedy Festival 2019, StoryFest: International Storytelling Festival Singapore 2018 and was the first runner-up of the 2018 Magners Comedy Competition Singapore. He sold out his first full hour show Russian Comedian in 2018, and was named one of the top open mic comedians at the Singapore Comedy Fringe 2017.
A travelling comic, Artur has performed live in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and the Philippines. Artur has opened for international comedians like Neal Brennan, Brendon Burns, Ahmed Ahmed, Alistair Barrie, Dwayne Perkins & Jinx Yeo.
In his day job, Artur writes, directs and produces animation & scripted videos for businesses at Click2View content agency. He also speaks and does workshops on using comedy in public speaking and brand storytelling.
